Many of the training programs provided by BSA can be found and also completed at home.  Below is a list of some of them.  They can all be found by following the link below to the national BSA Scouting.org website training page.  You should have your BSA identification number to be certified that you have completed the course.  The ID is listed on the BSA registration card that you received when you registered.

Troop 140 as a policy requires that every adult that attends summer camps and or monthly outings be Youth Protection trained at a minimum as well as Hazardous Weather certified.  For high adventure camps, we require that every adult be CPR & first aid certified with a preference to being trained in first aid as a first responder or when emergency response is detained.  The troop offers these programs once a year in May at a minimal cost and each person successfully completing the course(s) receives a Red Cross certification.  These courses are recommended for both scouts and adults!
